As long as they are not the gym's personal trainers, I don't see a problem with it. Even overweight people have to work. There are also many gym members that are overweight trying to shed the extra pounds, so why can't the staff do the same thing?

Yes, quite normal. Your body temperature changes, too, as does your blood pressure. That is why you have to take measurements of these things and average them out.

It's unlikely you will be capable of gaining that, BUT if you workout and put on a lot of muscle, that'll increase your metabolism so that you can consume more calories without gaining fat (you'll have to work to maintain that muscle though).
